Personal Data and KVKK
General information for users concerning Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
This document provides general information. It does not replace the required privacy notice identifying the controller, contact channels and actual processing details. Also review your company’s notice for the relevant activity.
Notice and explicit consent are different
A notice explains who processes data, why and how. Explicit consent, when required, is a separate, specific and informed expression of choice. Signing in or reading this page does not mean you consent to every processing activity.
A lawful basis must be assessed per activity
Account management, employee monitoring, training, payment and security records have different purposes. The relevant controller must determine and explain the applicable lawful basis for each activity. The software does not make that assessment automatically or assume one basis for all activities.
Sensitive data and field records
Sensitive data such as health, biometric or criminal-conviction information requires separate assessment of lawful conditions and safeguards. Field photographs, location and work records can also contain personal data. Do not upload data without establishing necessity and authority.
Data-subject rights
Subject to Article 11, rights include learning whether data is processed, requesting information, learning the purpose and whether use is consistent with it, identifying recipients, requesting correction or erasure/destruction and notification to recipients, objecting to adverse results arising solely from automated analysis, and seeking compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Requests and the correct recipient
Use the request channels announced by the controller for the relevant processing and provided by applicable law. Your company administrator can help identify who manages the records; this does not restrict statutory request channels. Do not share more identity documents than necessary.
